Ariadne is operated by 5127 AI, based in Alberta, Canada. This policy explains what we collect, why, who else touches it, and what you can make us do about it. It is written to be read, not to be survived.
What Ariadne is doing with your words
You describe a decision. We ask questions. We give you an answer. To do that, the things you write are stored and are sent to a language model. That is the whole of it, and the detail below is an honest account of the mechanics.
What we collect
- What you write. The decision you describe, your answers to every question, the reasons you give, your descriptions of the best and worst outcomes, and anything you enter in a free text field. This is the substance of the service and we cannot provide it without storing this.
- What you select. Every option, rating, and scale position you choose, and the internal values derived from them.
- What we generate. The questions written for your session, the computed result, the reasoning produced for you, and a seed used to draw your labyrinth.
- Your email address. Collected when you ask to see your answer. Used to attach the session to you so you can return to it, and to send you the summary document.
- Session progress. Which screens you completed, when, and how long you took. Sessions that are abandoned partway are also stored.
- Technical data. Standard server logs, including IP address, browser type, and timestamps, kept by our hosting and database providers.
We do not collect your name unless you type it into an answer, your location beyond what an IP address implies, payment information (we do not currently charge), or any tracking of you across other websites. We do not use advertising cookies. We do not run third party analytics that profile you.
Sensitive information
People bring real decisions here. Depending on what you write, your answers may reveal health conditions, relationships, sexual orientation, religious belief, financial difficulty, or immigration status. We do not ask for any of this, but we know it will appear.
Where the law treats that as special category or sensitive personal information, we rely on your explicit consent, given when you check the box at the end of a session, and we hold it to a higher standard: it is never used for advertising, never sold, and never shared in identifiable form with anyone outside the processors listed below.
If you would rather not commit something to writing, write around it. The tool works on the shape of a decision, not on the specifics of who is in it.
Why we hold it
- To run the session. Your answers are the inputs. Without them there is no result.
- To let you come back. A session is stored so you can finish it later or read it on another device.
- To improve the questions. We study sessions in aggregate to find questions that confuse people, screens where people stop, and results that miss. This is how the tool gets better.
- To send you your summary. If you ask for it by email.
- To keep it working. Debugging, security, abuse prevention.
Legal bases, where the GDPR applies: performance of a contract for running the session and delivering your result; explicit consent for storing the content of what you write and for any special category information within it; legitimate interests for security, abuse prevention, and aggregate product improvement, balanced against your rights.
Legal basis, where Canadian law applies: your meaningful consent, given at the point you submit your email, and implied consent for the operation of the service you have asked for.
Who else touches it
We use a small number of processors. Each is bound to handle data only on our instructions.

The language model calls happen three times: once to structure your decision, once to shape the questions you are asked, and once to write the final wording. Only the text relevant to that call is sent. Our providers are contractually barred from using your content to train their models.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not disclose it to anyone else except where we are legally required to, or where it is necessary to protect someone from serious harm.
International transfers
We are in Canada. Our processors are largely in the United States. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, your information is transferred outside your jurisdiction, and we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses with our processors for that transfer. You can ask us for details.
How long we keep it
- Unclaimed sessions, where no email was ever attached, are deleted after 12 months.
- Sessions attached to an account are kept until you delete them or close your account. The point of an archive is that it lasts, and it is yours to end.
- Email addresses are kept while your account exists.
- Aggregate and de-identified analysis, where your content has been stripped of anything identifying and cannot be traced back to you, may be kept indefinitely. This is how the tool learns which questions work.
- Server logs are kept for up to 90 days.
What you can make us do
Wherever you are, you can ask us to:
- Show you everything we hold about you.
- Correct anything wrong.
- Delete your account and every session attached to it.
- Export your sessions in a portable format.
- Withdraw consent, which ends the processing that relies on it. This does not undo what was already done lawfully.
If you are in the EEA or UK you also have the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests, the right to restrict processing, and the right to complain to your supervisory authority. If you are in Canada you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner. If you are in California you have the rights to know, delete, correct, and to limit use of sensitive personal information, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising any of them.

Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access to the database is restricted, and row level security scopes any signed in read to that person's own records. Sessions that have not been claimed by an account carry no name and no email. Model provider keys are held server side and never reach your browser.
No system is perfectly secure. If a breach occurs that puts you at risk, we will tell you and the relevant regulator as the law requires.
Children
Ariadne is not for anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If we learn that we have, we delete it. If you believe a child has used this, write to b@5127ai.com.
Automated decision making
Ariadne produces a recommendation automatically. It has no legal or similarly significant effect on you: it is a suggestion you are free to ignore, and no consequence follows from it except the one you choose. You can ask us how a result was reached, and you can ask a human to look at it.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that materially affects you, we will say so on the site and, if you have an account, by email. The date at the top always reflects the current version.
